After emigrating from Mexico in the mid-fifties, Ramon and Irma Vega settled in McAllen.
Mr. Vega worked several different jobs in the area as well as migrating to Modesto, California to perform migrant work. This went on until 1965 when he decided to enter the roofing industry.

In 1974, Vega Roofing Co. diversified a little more by adding a urethane foam and coating system to what was already being offered to our clients.
This system was fairly popular in the 1980’s and it turned out to be a profitable venture.
In 1978, Juan Vega, the oldest son, entered the family business. This addition helped the company secure larger contracts and helped establish more commercial accounts.
Vega Roofing has continued to serve the valley and the South Texas area to this day.
In the early 2000’s, Vega Roofing Co. diversified again. We began to see that the single ply systems were beginning to be used in many of the larger box stores coming into the area. We decided to offer those systems to our clients as well.
When the petroleum based products that we had been using for decades became to expensive to use, the singly ply systems that we had recently taken on became much more affordable to our clients. To this day, they have been the most cost effective system that we can offer.
Vega Roofing has continued to serve the valley and the South Texas area since 1978.
Our philosophy at Vega Roofing Co. has always been to treat our clients with respect. We attempt to provide them with reasonably priced roofing systems that will protect their businesses or homes without adding any unnecessary expenses to their final cost.
If there’s a way to extend the life of their roof a little longer in order to delay the inevitable expense of having to re-roof a building, we’ll find it.
We roof buildings that are not large at all but have the experience and ability to re-roof large buildings that require more complicated solutions.
We pride ourselves in not turning work down, in taking on projects that most other contractors don’t want to bother with.

At the present time, we have received certifications from Duro-Last Roofing Inc, Carlisle Syntec, Poly-Glas roofing systems, LaPolla Foam and Coatings, Gaco-Western Foam and Coatings, GAF and Owens-Corning shingle manufacturers.
